In Puerto Pirámides, you’ll have the opportunity to join a whale watching tour (not included), planned for a low-traffic schedule to ensure a peaceful experience with the southern right whales. The itinerary continues with a visit to either Caleta Valdés or Punta Norte, depending on wildlife activity that day. These locations are among the best places to observe elephant seals and sea lions in the wild.
The last stop is Estancia San Lorenzo, where you’ll walk among hundreds of Magellanic penguins in their natural habitat. Throughout the tour, you’ll be accompanied by experienced naturalist guides and enjoy a complete brunch-style boxed meal with mineral water. Return to Puerto Madryn is expected after 6:30 PM.
Your day begins with pick-up at your hotel in Puerto Madryn. From there, the group heads toward Peninsula Valdés, following the coast of the San José Gulf. Along the route, your guide will explain the region’s natural history and the importance of small-scale fishing practices in local communities.
