This half-day sailing experience invites you to discover the beauty of Puerto Madryn from a unique coastal perspective. After a safety briefing and basic sailing introduction, you’ll head out on a small-group navigation experience where you can relax or even take the helm. Whether sailing south past Punta Cuevas and the Ecocentro or heading north toward Playa Manara and Punta Dorado, each route reveals the city’s maritime spirit and stunning shoreline. Enjoy snacks and drinks as you soak in the scenery, and wrap up the experience with an aperitif back at the mooring. Ideal for curious travelers looking for something authentic, intimate, and unforgettable.
Meet your guide at the designated point near the coast, either by the Piedrabuena Pier or the local Nautical Club. Depending on weather and tides, you’ll board the sailboat directly or via a short transfer on a dinghy.
Once on board, your crew will lead a safety briefing and offer a short introduction to basic sailing. Life jackets on, you’ll set sail for a scenic cruise along the Patagonian coastline.
As the boat glides through the bay, your hosts will share insights about Puerto Madryn’s origins and its strong connection with the sea. You’ll also learn how to steer or assist with the sails if you’d like to get involved.
The route may take you south past Punta Cuevas, Punta Este, the Ecocentro, and the Folías shipwreck, or north toward the Storni Pier, Punta Arco, Playa Manara, and Punta Dorado. Each direction offers rich history and beautiful natural surroundings.
During the sail, light snacks and refreshments are served. As you return to the mooring, a final aperitif marks the perfect end to this relaxed and engaging coastal experience.
