DAY 1 - ARRIVE TO ISLA LEONES CAMPS

Pick up from the airport or hotel in other destination and transfer to Isla Leones Camp

Pick up from your hotel in Puerto Madryn, Trelew or any other destination or from Comodoro Rivadavia or Trelew Airpot

Then,we will transfer you to the amazing Patagonia Azul Park and Isla Leones Camp. Check in and overnight.

Patagonia Azul is home to an incredible biodiversity, where you can spot whales, endemic species like the flightless steamer duck, and endangered animals such as the South American sea lion. In collaboration with the Rewilding Argentina Foundation, we invite you to learn about the 8 Natural Monuments we are working to protect.

Imagine a pristine stretch of Patagonia’s marine coast, where beaches unfold between white sand and colorful stones, interrupted by towering rocks draped in green algae that shimmer against the deep blue of the ocean.

This stunning coastal landscape is the setting for Isla Leones Camps, with its six cozy shelters nestled along the shoreline. The accommodations are designed to offer the perfect balance of comfort and rustic charm, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in a wild, magical natural environment.

A host will be available to share stories about the place and the conservation project, and will guide you in exploring Patagonia Azul in a variety of ways.

You’ll also be able to enjoy delicious dishes made with locally caught fish, hand-harvested seaweed, and vegetables from the agroecological garden.

This experience is crafted for adventurous souls seeking to venture into the unknown, escape the city, and dive into the breathtaking natural beauty of Chubut Province’s marine coast.

DAY 2 - ISLA LEONES CAMPS in PATAGONIA AZUL PARK

Free time to enjoy many activities available

After breakfast, free time to enjoy any of the available activities in Isla Leones Park.

All activities are weather-dependent. Programs and activities are organized according to the forecast.

🚤 Isla Leones Lighthouse Boat Tour
Enjoy the ocean breeze as you embark on a journey navigating between islands and islets, bringing you closer to the world of marine wildlife. You may spot various birds such as giant petrels, terns, skuas, Magellanic penguins, and—if the winds are in our favor—even the magnificent black-browed albatross!
This true marine safari offers the chance to observe marine mammals in their natural habitat: South American sea lions, Commerson’s dolphins, Peale’s dolphins, and humpback whales are just some of the incredible creatures you might encounter.
You’ll also step into the footsteps of early explorers by visiting iconic sites like Caleta Hornos and the Isla Leones Lighthouse, where we’ll disembark to explore it up close.

🤿 Snorkeling

While swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Patagonia Azul, we invite you to observe a variety of marine life: mollusks, crabs, starfish, seaweed, octopuses, fish, anemones, and many other underwater creatures.
This activity can be combined with a walking excursion, and in all cases, snorkeling is done from the shore. We provide wetsuits and masks so you can join us in exploring the underwater world.

🥾 Coastal Hiking

Coastal hiking allows us to explore beautiful untouched beaches and the most breathtaking viewpoints. Our guides will reveal the secrets of the tidepools and teach you about this unique ecosystem.
With a bit of luck, you may spot whales, Commerson’s dolphins, or giant petrels along the way. Hiking options vary from 40-minute walks to half-day treks, most of them off-trail for a more intimate connection with nature.

🐧 Bird & Wildlife Watching

There is an extraordinary variety of marine and shorebirds to observe in their natural habitat, along with marine and land animals that move in rhythm with nature.
During your outings, stay alert—you may catch a glimpse of a whale’s blow, dolphins leaping, penguins, or sea lions. Don’t forget to observe every bird; the diversity—from oystercatchers to terns—will amaze you at every step.

🚴‍♂️ Electric Bike Outings

We have eight electric bikes available to explore different areas of the portal with a guide. The network of trails offers a range of lengths and difficulties depending on the terrain, and it’s designed to lead you to the most stunning viewpoints in the park.
You can choose to pedal for exercise or take advantage of the sunlight to cruise through the park, admiring the scenery.

Transfers to airport or next destination

After brekfast, free time until transfer to Comodoro Rivadavia or Trelew Airport, or even to Puerto Madryn if you will continue visiting Peninsula Valdes area.
