ITINERARY

DAY 1 - PUERTO MADRYN

Arrive to Airport + transfer to Puerto Madryn

Arrival at the airport (Trelew or Puerto Madryn). Meet and transfer to your hotel in the city of Puerto Madryn.

Puerto Madryn is a charming coastal city located in the Argentine Patagonia, known as the gateway to Península Valdés.
It offers stunning views of the Golfo Nuevo and is one of the best places in the world for whale watching.
The city has a relaxed atmosphere, with a scenic waterfront, sandy beaches, and excellent seafood restaurants.
It also features the EcoCentro, a museum focused on marine life and conservation.
Puerto Madryn is a hub for nature lovers, offering easy access to incredible wildlife and landscapes.
Its rich cultural mix includes strong Welsh and Italian influences, adding to its unique character.

After check-in at your hotel, we will enjoy watching whales from the shore.
El Doradillo Beach, located near Puerto Madryn in Argentina, is renowned for its exceptional land-based whale-watching opportunities. From June to October, southern right whales frequent the calm, shallow waters close to the shore, often approaching as near as 15 to 30 meters (50 to 100 feet). This proximity allows visitors to observe these majestic creatures directly from the beach without the need for boat excursions.

The beach’s steep slope and tranquil waters create an ideal environment for mother whales and their calves during the breeding season. High tide periods are particularly favorable for sightings, as the whales tend to come closer to the shoreline.
