From Trelew to Punta Tombo
Punta Tombo, one of the largest Magellanic penguin colonies in the world, is 180 km (112 mi) southeast of Trelew. The only way to reach it is by road, as there is no public transport directly to the reserve.

Turn left at the Punta Tombo sign, and continue 70 km (43 mi) on a gravel road to the reserve.
