MEF: a bit of history
The Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum (MEF) was founded in 1990 and named after Egidio Feruglio, an Italian-Argentine geologist and paleontologist known for his studies of Patagonia’s prehistoric past.
Since its opening, MEF has become a leading center for paleontological research, especially focusing on Patagonian dinosaurs. One of its most significant discoveries is Patagotitan mayorum, one of the largest dinosaurs ever found.
